Trekking in Nepal

Trekking is an outdoor activity that provides a number of health benefits varying from physical to mental to spiritual. Besides health factors, trekking or hiking is a great source of pleasure for everyone. Once when we leave the busy city life and go out for walking in nature away from the crazy world, we can feel the real freedom. Hiking takes us to the heart of nature where everything is pleasing and gives us an up-close view of the scenery. It can be as long or as short as trekkers decide. Many people who are trekkers engage in longer trips through entire regions of the world, using trekking as a way of getting from place to place and interacting with nature.

Trekking in Nepal is different from other kinds of outdoor vacations from other mountain walks and climbs. On a trek, you walk up and down steep hills through remote villages where farmers raise crops and herd their livestock. All those typical treks take one to three weeks to complete. As compared to last decades, now in major trekking routes teahouse facilities are well developed where you can sleep in a room with attached bathroom and have a food menu with a variety of local and western dishes.

In Nepal, there are two types of trekking. They are teahouse and camping. Teahouse trekking means you are provided with package services of a guide, porter and you will sleep and eat in a local lodge whereas in camping trek you are provided with package services of camping crew (guide, Sherpa, cook, kitchen helper, and porters) and you will sleep in a tent, and meal will be served by camping staff.
