One of the beautiful day hikes in Kathmandu Valley with full of exploration and adventure where you will experience the beauty of culture, religion, and nature in a single-day trip.
This one-day Namo Buddha trek is an easy and pleasant trek around Kathmandu valley, suitable for all hikers. This trek will start from Dhulikhel (1550m) which takes 45 minutes to drive from Kathmandu covering 30km and hiking for 3 hours to Namobuddha (1750m), you will visit the Namobuddha View Point, Namobuddha Monastery, and Namobuddha temples and you will trek down to Panauti (1340m) which takes 2.5 hours and enjoy the Newari cultures and then we will drive you back to Kathmandu.
Namobuddha is a beautiful hilltop that is very popular for Buddhist Pilgrimages as it was the place where Lord Buddha cut his own flesh to feed hungry Tigress. Namobudha is 45 km east of Kathmandu. The Stupa, Monasteries, and shrines built up on this lovely little hill are beautiful and worth visiting.
Panauti (1340m) is a small town, also called the town with 40 temples dedicated to different deities and will hold 28 festivals throughout the year.

CHECKLISTS FOR DHULIKHEL- NAMOBUDDHA-PANAUTI DAY HIKE
- Comfortable day hiking clothes (light layers, comfortable t-shirt, hiking pants or leggings, sun hat or cap, comfortable hiking shoes or trail runners, rain jacket or windbreaker)
- Small daypack or backpack (20-30 liters capacity), water bottle or hydration pack (at least 1-2 liters), snacks and energy food (trail mix, energy bars, fruits)
- Personal Items (sunscreen, sunglasses, basic first-aid supplies, any personal medications, insect repellent), camera or smartphone for photos, trekking poles (optional, but helpful for knee support on descents)
- Cash in Nepali Rupees for entrance fees, snacks, and emergencies (credit cards may not be accepted in remote areas)
- Mobile phone (if your cell phone is from CINGULAR USA or ATNT (USA) operators, then your cell phone will work in Nepal.)

The most important consideration for any tour is staying warm and dry, lightweight, breathable, moisture-winking under layers are highly recommended. Insulating layers and jackets are necessary. Comfortable shoes, quality socks (quality socks are recommended), and head covering (insulating caps and brimmed caps designed to block sunlight) are essential.
