How to get Mongolia Visa?

Many travelers do research on visa processing before planning their trip anywhere in the world. Although visa processing for many countries is similar some countries need more documents. Except for visa-free nations, all the visitors need a visa for Mongolia. To begin your visa process you need to visit the nearest Mongolian Embassy or Consulate where you need to fill the Visa Application Form. If there is no Mongolian embassy and consulate in your country then you will get a visa on arrival at Chinggis Khan International Airport. Regarding arrival, visa information is provided below. What are the requirements for obtaining a Mongolian Visa?

2. Tourist visa

• Completed Visa Application Form Download Form
• Original Passport (valid minimum of six months before your intended travel to Mongolia)
• 3.5x4.5cm photo (required size of the photo is mandatory)
• Photocopy of hotel booking or accommodation information in Mongolia
• Photocopy of flight/train tickets
• Bank statements for the recent six months for proof of fund(if necessary)
• The visa fee needs to pay during the time of application submission. (Visa fee is non-refundable)

*Note: You may need to submit extra documents if the visa officer asks you to prove your purpose of visiting Mongolia. A general tourist visa is allowed to stay 30 days. If you want to extend your visa then you must apply within 4 days of a valid visa.

2. Official/diplomatic visa

• Completed Visa Application Form
• Original Passport (valid minimum of six months before your intended travel to Mongolia)
• 3.5x4.5cm photo (required size of the photo is mandatory)
• Purpose of your travel to Mongolia
• Official request documents by the sending authority or Ministry of Foreign
• Documents of Affairs/Foreign diplomatic missions
• Visa fee may be waived depending on the purpose of the visit

Mongolia visa on arrival

Travelers who don’t have a Mongolian embassy or consular in their home country will get Visa on arrival that is given only at Chinggis Khan International Airport. Those who are entering Mongolia through land borders will not get an arrival visa.

2. Multiple Entry & Exit Visa: It cost US$70 and this visa can be applied within a working day and it cost an additional charge of US$70. This valid for six months from the date of the issue.
3. Multiple Entry & Exit Visa Valid for One Year: It cost US$ 135 and this visa can be applied within a working day and it cost an additional charge of US$ 135.
4. Transit Visa: It cost US$ 20 and this visa can be applied within a working day and it cost an additional charge of US$ 20.
