GHT stands for Great Himalayan Trail which is the world's highest and longest trail in Nepal.
WHO WAS THE FIRST TREKKER OF GHT?
Robin Boustead was the first person who successfully treks the GHT and that changed his life.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO SOLO GHT TREK?
The lower route of GHT can be done solo but you can’t do the higher route because many sections of GHT require special permits and the guide is mandatory.
ARE THE FOOD AND SHELTER ARE AVAILABLE IN ALONG THE GHT?
Food and shelter are possible in all the regions but most of the remote area has only basic.

HOW CAN I TREK THE GHT?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO TEA HOUSE STYLE IN GHT TREK?
Generally, the GHT trek is a combination of both tea houses and camping trek. Most of the eastern and central regions can be done in a tea house style but the far west of Nepal required full camping.
HOW THE GREAT HIMALAYA TRAIL DID BEGIN?
After 2000 AD many mountain areas of Nepal were opened for trekking. Since many international travelers are possible to reach different regions of the Himalayas and Robin Boustead came with the idea of GHT. If you are interested in history then read here, History of GHT.
HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE to LOCAL COMMUNITIES of GHT TRAIL?
Though there are some non-governmental organizations that help remote areas of Nepal but still no enough. If it is possible for you then do some projects that can benefit local communities. Many GHTers recommend hiring local guides and other staff for camping. So, you can directly support their socio-economic.
