The dates for the upcoming New Tiji Festival  4x4 WD (jeep tour) 2026  have now been officially announced. This extraordinary celebration will take place on 21st, 22nd, and 23rd June 2026 in the historic walled city of Lo Manthang, Upper Mustang. As part of our specially arranged jeep tour, we invite travelers to witness all three days of sacred ceremonies, masked dances, and ancient rituals in one of the most remote and awe-inspiring settings in all of Nepal.

Our New Tiji Festival Jeep Tour winds through dramatic desert valleys, ancient villages, and high mountain passes to the historic gates of Lo Manthang, passing cliff-carved cave dwellings, centuries-old monasteries, and welcoming local communities along the way, with all permits, meals, and accommodation fully arranged. The road itself is an adventure, cutting through wind-sculpted red canyons, crossing rivers, and revealing sweeping Himalayan panoramas at every turn, each stretch of the journey pulling you deeper into a landscape that feels untouched by the outside world. When you finally arrive in Lo Manthang and witness the sacred masked dances, hear the deep resonance of ceremonial horns echoing off ancient walls, and stand among the local community as they celebrate a tradition older than memory, you begin to understand that this is not simply a tour  it is an encounter with something rare and deeply human.

During these three special days, the ancient city of Lo Manthang transforms into a vibrant gathering place. Monks perform sacred masked dances, offer prayers, and conduct traditional ceremonies that have been passed down through generations. Every movement, costume, and ritual carries deep meaning and reflects the spiritual beliefs of the local people.

This festival is not only about religion. It is a time when families, villagers, pilgrims, and travelers come together to celebrate their heritage. The narrow streets of Lo Manthang become filled with colorful traditional dress, joyful gatherings, and a sense of unity that can be felt throughout the community.

For visitors traveling through Mustang by jeep, this festival adds a unique cultural experience to an already unforgettable journey. The New Tiji Festival offers more than sightseeing; it provides a deeper connection to the people, traditions, and spirit of Mustang. It is a rare opportunity to witness a living culture that continues to preserve its identity while welcoming visitors from around the world. Combining adventure, history, spirituality, and local hospitality, the Mustang Jeep Tour during the New Tiji Festival creates memories that last a lifetime.

We've handled every detail so you can simply be there and enjoy every single moment. From the day you leave to the day you return, this is the kind of experience that stays with you long after the trip is over. So we encourage you to reach out early and secure your place before the journey is claimed by someone else.
